If it is a necessity (you HAVE to buy it) then yes. If it's your own CHOICE as to buy or not, then it's on you and not gouging.

Thanks, I am aware of the definition of necessity.

The above in bold would be the brotherly thing to do.
However, at this time, i'd again like to thank Viaje for a couple really fucking horrible releases over the last couple years, completely getting me disinterested in anything "HTF."
Thanks Viaje!!! :nana:

What then is the proper term for a $200 profit flipped on a currently released cigar?

For the buyer - Sad that you have to pay so much, but if you have that kind of money to spend on cigars, look around, a lot of choices out there for that kind of coin.
For the seller - Not ballsy. This is almost anonymous. There is no real repercussion for gouging. Not that there should be, as long as the buyer gets the product. Just don't consider yourself a "brother" if you are flipping a box, probably before you have it in your possession, for a $200 profit.

It is gouging whether or not it is a necessity.
My bigger problem, though, is guys like this who scarf up HTF releases with the express purpose of profiteering. If you don't want the cigars, let someone else buy them retail. Period.

Re: Gouge Alert
Ya, I agree. That does kind of suck. I've called a place before and they said they should out 15 min ago! My plans were to smoke most, trade and gift a few and if life happens maybe sell some in a sampler. Which at first I don't get upset cause my ass was late on calling. But then, even though there is a one box per limit you see someone selling 5 boxes at 200/250$ profit so I admit. I'm human so that tends to bother me a bit.

Re: Gouge Alert
Unfortunately, any hobby is subject to draw the profiteers. My montra is, don't buy them if you're not intending to smoke them. These 'flippers' hurt the availability of already HTF product.
