That was my first thought, mineral deposits from using tap water.

Lol ok, mold i get it some here need something to talk about but tap water lol ok now thats amusing. These are finely aged havanas, well taken care i can assure you i didnt drop the kinda coin i have on my collection and then skimp to use tap water or allow mold. I understand the plume vs mold subject although to me it seems once you've been around the block with cigars you'd have that figured out. Anyways had to chime in on the tap water, have a happy and SAFE holiday to all and your families, special prayers out to anyone dealing with difficult issues this time of year. Peace to all.

The tap water comment wasn't meant as an attack. I'm sure you've spent plenty of money on your cigars, but I doubt it's near as much as the B&Ms I've seen using other than distilled water. I'm no expert, but the pics I saw looked EXACTLY like the kind of dusty residue you'd get from active humidification w/o distilled water.

No worries, was just amusing.

Take a look at the third pic. You can see that plume has developed over the cigar from cap to foot. Those look very good.

Interesting comments and good data for the future.  Explains who knows cigars and those who think they do.  ;)

Never seen mold spread so lightly or evenly over a group of sticks.  What say you Brad?  Plume or mold?  I say plume, but if not, I'd like to hear your opinion and reason.

Edit: I am viewing this pic on my phone, so not really picking up much coloration.

Surprized no one has not been all over these with all that plume and dropped 25% in price.  ;)

Again, I ask that you give you reasons for suspecting this is mold.
