Hey Jay buddy.....don't take CF personal. I have been on those boards on and off since '98. There's always some yutz ready to pounce on you and break your balls. As a matter of fact if they get to disliking you too much they just might start sending letters and faxes to the Treasury Department about your activities and complaining to the IRS that you didn't report the $20 you marked up on your cigars. as fer old Chicago, i have never ONCE done a transaction there that proceeded more than a few PM's back and forth.
an agreement could never be made. so the guardian angel over my shoulder saved me from heartache once
again, for 6 or so months back a good friend (who is still on the boards regularly) told me about
the outing of chicago.

i am as confident in my sources as i am in breathing. i have not purchased any davi or dunni within the past 4 years or so (so any funky stuff that may have happened between then and now i must have missed). i have dropped alot of coin on cigars of this caliber and every stick has been from very well trusted and established members of the cigar community state side and abroad.


Johnny o! my good man! i hear what your are sayin brother! it does suck that it's like that, for there are MANY really good BOTL's who call CF home (lz6,deem/socalsmoker,ironpeddler to name a few) and offer great things for the cigar community (like Moki for example). i always enjoyed lurking there and even HERFED with a few good guys in Philly at Holts (i do recall enjoying a FINE dunnie attados that was gifted to me from a dear friend who is also a member of CF, don't want to mention names *cough* *cough* you know who you are! lol).

Don't expect to hear anything.... alot of bullying goes on here and people go back into hiding behind their computer screen.  Everyone seems to have a bone to pick with everything anyone says... and the ganging up and bandwaggoning is at an all time high.  I have never bullied anyone from behind my computer screen or in real life, and I have always spoken what I said or felt... and I don't intend to change that either.

The bottom line here... I am glad that this got cleared up and mb made the situation right... I am sure he felt horrible about what happened and it was nice to see that apology done publicly and it was nicer to see you accept it and move on.

After all the other BS that has been going down her lately... this was a classy move guys.  Very nice.

Jay my brotha!  Hope all is well my friend!  And a warm hello to others I see (John, Phil, Bill...how you guys been?).  Wow it's been a while since I've visited OLH, Hell it's been what...over a year since I've had a smoke?  Time flies man. 

I can say that I've known Jay for many years and he is most definitely no scumbag.  He is one of the most genuine (and generous) brothers around in my opinion, and if he's selling smokes ya better snatch e'm while ya can! 

When will people get their facts straight before posting?

It's called 'Due Diligence' gentlemen...look it up if you don't know it's meaning.

I know Jay personally as we live a few miles from each other...but that's not the deciding factor of him being a wonderful person or a jerk....it's based on someone's past and that why we have trader comments. READ about all his transactions and you'll quickly figure out that the OP MUST have gotten the name wrong....simple really IF you take 10 minutes out of your Life to cruise around a few cigar forums before you HAMMER someone who has been nothing but gracious to the Cigar Community at large.

Phil would know if anyone is even close to being added to the Scumbag List...you see, he DOES his 'Due Diligence' before uttering peep about someone PUBLICLY! Believe me when I say, if someone is bad, he'll get to the bottom of like a bloodhound.

Good reputations take years to create and nurture...and only one misguided thread to tear them apart. I hope a lesson has been learned here...and that is to READ MORE, POST LESS! If you THINK you have a beef with someone, PM a senior member who may know more than you and ask them for their opinion about the person in question BEFORE going PUBLIC. It's simply the right thing to do and only takes a few extra steps...but at least then you will have some credible facts to backup your argument.

God bless you Jay for being so humble and understanding...forgiveness is the greatest virtue in Life and I hope others will pay it forward based on your example.

Hey Mike, it's been a few days now...Jay asked you a direct question and it's only right you answer him being that you referred to him as a "scumbag extraordinaire....a scammer, liar, and lowlife". Pretty strong words my friend. You see, when you question someone's character in those terms, you back it up with the facts to support your allegations....and obviously you know something we don't.

When you write a post like you did and DON'T back it up...it now puts into question YOUR INTEGRITY. I for one am now thinking you're the one who's slinging the BS....and if you choose to remain silent, that just makes you look even worst. We definitely don't want that to happen if you are correct.

For the final time I'll ask...if you have evidence that Jay did something wrong, let's get this ball rolling so Phil (insight) can run with it. We need first hand PMs or SSs and links to posts where deals have gone bad. If you have all of these, please send them to Phil ASAP.
