Alot better than the 2010 blend. Not as good as the 2009. The 2011 were pretty good ROTT and will only get better. The 2010 were not up to par.

That's a shame your missing some truly good smokes.  Tatuaje wise not Viaje though.  I don't like all the LE stuff but there are some really good ones and just ignoring two complete lines only hurts you.  There are some that are really good.

Had the torp and found it to be almost overwhelming. Very dense and rich. I think it'll be terrific with a little age on it.

I agree Andre has stolen a page from Pete's playbook (OK, maybe the [u][b]whole[/b][/u] playbook), the "bomb" references have grown tired, and his stuff has been hit or miss lately:

HIT:
- Atlantic 15
- HB 2011
- S & B (really enjoyed 3 of the regular shape, but hated the 1 box-pressed. Very strange, since it's supposedly the same tobacco.)
- Fat Man/Little Boy/MOAB/WMD

MISS:
- 2011 Oro Reserva #5
- 2011 Platino Reserva #6
- ALL Satori

UNCERTAIN:
- 2011 VOT
- Late Harvest (both sizes have been inconsistent)

I appreciate the "artisinal" approach he takes. Just hope he can be more consistent in the future.

I bought a couple of sampler fivers of HB 2011 and have smoked a couple thus far. They are very good, with more complexity than, say, the Summerfest from last year. I'll continue to buy HB each year until they screw it up. Other than that, I'm kinda done with Viaje.

Tatuaje is a different story...I'll always buy their stuff. I don't get the comparison between Viaje and Tats. :o

Smoked an OR S&B WMD (red label) on my way home from work today...great smoke.  A little too short and a couple minor burn problems but really nice flavors--leather, cedar, and some nice bittersweet chocolate undertones...I enjoyed it alot, and these have gotten better with time.  Wish that I had more of these...

Obviously, Viaje's latest S&B (and other) releases strive to be this good, but are not and may never be again...

When you don't have a farm or own the fields, I am sure it must be difficult to obtain good/consistent tobacco, from other manufacturers who you are in competition with... sounds like an uphill battle.

Someone mentioned that Andre he gets alot of his tobacco from Dion, I have no idea, but I bet he has to do some serious ass-kissing or pay big bucks to get the better leaves he grows and its still not going to be as good as what Dion keeps for himself and his own lines.

If that is the case, Andre would be better of selling his brand to Dion, and just get paid to be a blender/marketer.
