Funny, I got an e-mail from the server Friday about a "database not accessable" error.  I think you guys hammered the softwares capability with this thread.  :rotf:

So, for those who were getting blocked posts that was probably culprit.

hehe.. It got to be a posting loop.. you try to reply, hit submit, get notice that another post has been added - do you want to review it...try to submit, get notice, etc...

I guess it became a question of who was faster and/or who knew the shortcuts... In the last 15-20 posts, I think I made it thru 2-3 times... the rest were blocked...

Please note, I am not complaining, I was having fun trying to overcome the frustration. who would have thought that just the three of us on could have tied it up so well...

When you think about the number of things the database has to do when you post.  Your post count goes up, your post title gets checked, your avatar gets posted, any sig tag, and any number of oher things that I'm not thinking of.

back when they did the first charity auctions over at CF many years ago there were problems even getting to the site.  obviously they got all that fixed, I'm pretty sure by the next year.

I'll see if there is any way to prevent it from happening again, but I'm thinking that post races may not be good for the system  :)
