I received my box of 25 PL Magnificos from Joe today.  The only thing that I regret about this purchase is that I only bought the one box and not all of the Magnificos that Joe had for sale.  Although I have not yet sampled one of the cigars, the box, bands and cigars appear to be as authentic as they come, the cigars smell terrific and I can tell just by sniffing the box that they are made with pure Cuban tobacco.  Only 408 25 ct boxes of these were made in 2007 and I feel fortunate just to have this one, let alone to have purchased it at the generous price that Joe offered.  Although I totally get why some here raised suspicions about Joe's sales, I hope that we can all put this behind us now and recognize that Joe is a true BOTL.

The only advice that I have for Joe is that he should have put the warranty sticker that fell off the box inside the box.  Lots of guys, myself included, would have tried to adhere the sticker back onto the box.

Pics below for the doubters.

Got my HDM EEs from Joe today.  Everything with the box and seals checks.  Bands have all the proper markings.  Bands are quality.

Actually smoking one right now.  It's a nice smoke.  A bit dry, but there are some quality flavors there.  A nice sweetness, a little twang.  Long filler for sure.  Ash color looks good.

Obviously I can only speak to this box, but I am happy.  I think a little down time in the humi will do these well.

:clap:glad that everything is turning out good for all that invested and Joe himself! I was skeptical for a lot of reasons, the main one being how new I am to CC s, I will say that I learned quite a bit. Hope the others who purchased are just as happy.

If you look at Joe's feedback, there are quite a few vets who are quite happy.  Not sure what else to say.

After smoking it, analyzing the band...  Everything adds up and checks out.  I don't know what else to say.

My Sublimes arrived at a friends house today.
He's forwarding them Down Under for me.
He reckons if the ones I've got are fake, the box he bought from H&F are too.
They wont land at my door for at least 10 days yet but at this stage I'm very happy
I'll report back when I view the sticks with my own eyes

For my second transaction with with Joe, I just received a box of '07 PL Magnificos...they are in superb condition, look and smell great and are authentic.  I have been very pleased with both transactions and would not hesitate to buy from him again...period!

I'm glad everyone here has been happy and it sounds like so far so good.  I started this thread as a reminder to people to be careful when buying and to do their own due diligence before jumping on a sale.  I'm sorry to the sellers that some people can go a little too far trying to prove their point/opinion, but I believe the purpose of this thread did what I wanted... to get people thinking about what they are buying from people when the sellers are new and there are some red flags.

According to Joe I had dibz on the Por Larranaga Magnificos as I've never had any and would've loved to have them.  But I stuck to my philosophy and chose to pass on the sale because of the red flags.  I have no regrets and will probably miss out on future sales, but I will also miss out when that scammer hits...

wondering why the original listing for the Magnificos listed ONE box number...yet it seems that multiple boxes have been sold?
