After talking with "Paulie" from the original email and having him respond very quickly to my initial emails I asked what's his pp. A few hours went and nothing, so I sent another email.... and another.... finally responded this morning with an email totally deflecting my single question in the 3 emails and telling me he's "trying to wrap my head around what happened" and to contact my credit card and bank... sent another email asking what the hell his paypal is.

Exactly, if youre the SELLER running a SCAM.....why would you want to stop the influx of traffic to get more money?

As the buyer, you cant comment on sales. But if you really wanted to be weird, you could start a seperate yhread telling everyone you bought x item.

Now in the case of a legit seller, they/we tend to mark things sold that are sold as Mike did last night with his boli super corona, for example. But Mike is a trusted seller, not a douche pickle running a scam.

I shouldnt have had to explain this, but im a nice guy, i think.

I'm a nice guy as well and I appreciate you responding, but this can be tweaked. I enjoy the site so would like to come up with something to protect everyone. Quit spitballing, and suggest something...(said with my nice-guy face).

it could be a cluster F when buyers were able to respond to threads...but it would mitigate something like this happening to a certain extent...if you see 10 "PM SENT!!!" posts and you PM the seller an hour later logic should prevail that you had little chance of getting the item...

Im just telling you the way it is and has been.  Only sellers can edit their posts, so if they sell something they can leave it advertised as long as they want.  Im sure i have an open sale thread somewhere i forgot to update also.  It happens.

This has always been referred to as the wild west of buying.  Scams are an unfortunate inclusion in this game.  This one was well executed.  Hindsight says there were some question marks, but well played by them.  Sucks.
