I am not attempting to justify gouging, just from the factual definition of what gouging is, I do not see it how anyone can be gouged on cigars, Yes, people sell for profit here, we see it every day. These are not things we HAVE to have. And what was said about me on this thread, was one post that had no fact to it, I never listed a box 'for like $700', it was actually listed $515, the same price that I was offered when I first acquired it. Right what it cost me in buying the box and the cigars I offered for getting them. But people will believe what they want to believe and people can post what they want to post and some will believe it without doubt, like the TL stuff that most were onboard with until questions started being posted.
But I always love good conversation and if anyone is ever in my neck of the woods my home and humidors are always open up to any brother.

Do you own a dictionary? Because to use the factual definition of gouging is asinine. Buying a box, doubling the price, and trying to flip it onto the online cigar community is gouging. If you can't see that simple fact, then you will never understand brotherhood. All your nice talk and open invitations notwithstanding, you're coming off as a pro-gouging imbecile.

How about this for a definition....from Webster's Dictionary
Gouge: an excessive or improper exaction : extortion
and so you don't have to look up extortion:
Extortion: something extorted; especially : a gross overcharge
You can't be extorted to pay more for cigars than you're willing to pay. You can be extorted to pay a ransom for your kidnapped child or to pay for medicine to stay alive.
Guys like Pete Johnson make a killing creating limited releases and suckering everyone into believing it's a great product and you'll be left behind if you don't get a box. Retailers all sell out and then people feel the need to pay 2x original price so they can get what hardly anyone is able to get. No cigar is worth that hassle and everyone that falls victim to such marketing will fall into the trap for paying more for them. TL made a killing with his scam for the exact same reason. You people need to resist this nonsense and buy cigars that you can readily buy because all you end up doing is buying cigars that you cannot replace once they're gone.

Not exactly a genius on this subject or even close, but these remind me of those commercials of the "limited edition US $2 bills featuring our State Parks" in full color from the US mint.
Yes they are limited, and yes they are special. But who decided they were and who set the price?
Hard to resist I know, but I will pass.

I still see 24 boxes of the Tat 109 - Fed 90th Rosadas on Federal's website... for 262 a box. Hopefully, a few people will see this thread.

Come on Mike, I would think from the many times we have smoked in chat, though never in person that you would see that is not what I doing. I just find it hypocritical that the same person in this thread that says profiteering is ok, but not gouging. It is hard to gouge when these cigars are not something we need, that is all I am trying to say. As others have said, that is what the BZ is for. Same reason I am here, to have a discussion. However, if anyone has another view they get called a douche, gouger, etc.. birds flocking together, etc.

Well I thought mike was just busting your chops Brian. I am sorry I got in the middle of something that I did not know about. I totally thought he was joking and found it funny didnt think mike was coming off serious. Sorry.

This was my experience too. I saved a couple and passed the rest on to someone who would enjoy them more.

I don't smoke any of the Tat garbage. To hell with a company whose sole purpose is to create blends of such limited quantities that people flip them because everyone acts as though they have to have the next best HTF release from them.

Yep, well put, nuff said.
