I bought some of his sig6 back in june also.  He delivered to both me and tommy.  Seems like a strange scam to hack an account, ship things youve sold, then wait over a month to pull off the big one.

Not to mention, those sig6 in june were listed in his usual format, no pics etc.  Handled pm with his signature etc

Yet he acted surprised that tommy said he sold 2004 sig6 in june. 

So i agree, he has a lot of explaining to do:)

Interesting that he'd wait nearly 5 years from the time he joined to go for the payoff though.  

The fact that this has to be known and he hasn't appeared to have a come to Jesus approach with the cigar community is a bit telling if he isn't in on it.

People do stupid shit when they are in a bad situation.

Guys, you need to bite the bullet on this one, come clean with PP, (using F&F to pay for goods is really cheating them, and for the record I've never don it), and let the chips fall where they may.   If there is a way to un-screw this and maybe even bring some consequences to this guy then it needs to be done.

Realizing that this may put OLH on the map with with PP; however, the site is only visible to registered users, and as of today I have approved no new accounts since this started, and I don't have any problem sitting on registration approvals for another 6 months.

One last item.  He didn't take anything from me.  I don't have any standing, as far as I know there is nothing I can do.

Thank you Wade for saying that.  I'm sick of seeing the scammers getting away with robbing people... this was no joke.  More than likely the guy cleared out the poopal account and the cash is long gone though.  :(  I wouldn't hold my breath that Poopal would take the guy to court to try and take money back from their bank account. 

I filed a paypal claim on Monday when the shit hit the fan. Luckily I paid through PayPal credit and that's the only way I was able to file. Who knows if it'll work or not, but it's worth a shot.

Yeah, I've never understood the concept that even when presented concrete info from our long gone keyboard sleuth, people always let it slide and not once have I heard of a scammer here being prosecuted for theft/mail fraud/etc. 

As far as cheating pp by using F&F, that's not exactly true because instead of the recipient paying the transaction fees, the giver pays the fees (depending on the funding source obviously).

So Wade, has "Paulie" or someone claiming to be Paulie emailed you??

I spoke with PayPal at length this morning.  They flat out refused to refund any funds sent F&F.  They now have the facts as I know them, and did recommend a possible course of action.  I sent their recommendation to Wade for review, he has agreed to forward the information to anyone scammed.  What I need is a PM with a simple +1 and $ amount.  I will compile  and send to Wade.  He will forward the information I sent to each of you, at which time we need to decide if we want to go this route as a group.  All of us lost $$, but the impact of initiating appropriate action may possibly impact some more than others.  Hopefully, most of you will agree.  If any of you want to eat it and press on, no problem, just don't respond.  If possible, I would like to have all responses in by 6PM CST Sunday.
