After a little research, I bought (and have now finished) my first bottle of single malt scotch: Speyburn 10 year old. For the money, I was impressed, which is what I had read about it.

If you aren't into scotch yet, I recommend this as an entry pour.

The Oban pic makes me jealous.
A good cigar and a good drink on the back deck by the lake...if that doesn't make you relax, nothing will!

When you ready, try Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban and Glenlivet Nadurra. IMO, best value in SMS, readily available, and don't require connoisseur palate to be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check our ABC to see if those are in stock. Really enjoyed my first SMS.
