The evidence is here regarding CC's.  Lying to authorities rarely ends well. I like the idea of a PI...to out the scammer to all which might help to insure he has a difficult time doing the same again. With that said...the victims can determine how to enforce their own justice in their own way.

If we know who he is and where he lives we could make his life more miserable than it already is. If the victims can get the money back great...but outing this sucker would be numero uno for me if I lost money.

Without his address and full information...this thread is useless.

Phone number is a Google voice number which is untraceable. You can pick any number anywhere you want. It was last registered to a lady in 2012. Name is fake,  return address is to a home business that has no Nick Ellis associated with it. This was a well planned out scam. It seems he covered his tracks pretty well. It's time to pursue other avenues. I ran through LN yesterday.

They always slip up.

This sounds like it's a Pembroke scam.

Stop posting about progress in public. Get together on a group email or private message.

What I find disheartening is the absence of administrative presence for days at a time. I know Wade is busy, as am I. But, if I had a forum where I was going to be missing for several days, I would find a trustworthy individual that I could delegate certain responsibilities to in order to maintain the integrity of the forum. I know there are a few here that would fit that bill.

Love it or hate it, Wade has made it crystal clear that this is a self-policing site.

Thus, the BZ. There are plenty of carefully moderated boards out there. This isn't one of them.
