Jesus fellas...

Obviously enough people posted about the warranty seal.  So that's that.

As for the warning labels, they are put on the boxes by the distributors, NOT by Habanos.  So that is that.

Someone I have a great deal of trust in got a box of these.  He feels very strongly about them being real.  Hopefully I will have my HDM EEs today to check myself.  Christ, might even smoke one, even with this cold.

I am more curious about the Sublimes, even without a dog in that particular fight.

Exactly... the regular production stuff shouldn't even matter.  I never thought or doubted that you guys would get fake Hoyo's etc.  Not saying they are real, but scammers tend to sell some legit stuff before going for the kill. The Sublimes, Padrons etc can lead to more high end sales.  That's the issue.

But with that said, I sure as heck wouldn't be buying anything from someone when there are so many red flags...

I mean, come on, who is going to take the time to fake HDM EEs?  They don't sell a ton of those as it is  ;D

However, never wanted to smoke a HDM EE so bad in my life as I do right now  ;D

First pic lower left hand side. It's missing a hologram with rounded edges. And it's placement on the lid is incorrect.

That is the correct seal for a 2008 box and the correct placement of the seal for that year.

When people aren't 100% sure of what they are posting, why muddy the waters and post false info ???  Like Steve said... Jesus...

The pics posted so far in this thread look fine to me... and regular production stuff is probably not an issue (especially Hoyo EEs).  Its the HTF and rarities that will always be suspect... here or anywhere.  Not knowing the provenance or exact source, is a big red flag for fakes...especially Cohiba Sublimes.

Trust your vendor, or know your seller...or in this case, if you don't trust the seller, stick with the regular production boxes...OR just move on.

you guys do know that there are retailers who are known fake pushers who sell on a wholesale basis right? saying that "Hoyos probably arent fake" is in itself irresponsible.

Agreed Mike, and there are other wholesaler sites too.... so, does anything stand out, from your perspective, as far as the few pics of Hoyo boxes that were posted earlier in this thread ? They look legit to me, but the only real way to know is for someone who is very familiar with the profile, and who has smoked one that is 5 years old or older, to smoke one of these and formally authenticate it.

Its always best to err on the side of caution when so many red flags are raised with any sale...most people know that here and hoepfully, the red flags that were raised, will be educational to those who don't know it.
