Ryan....
after our phone conversation tonite ...I read this thread for the 1st time...
funny everything we talked about came to light in your words here...
As per our conversation...I also spoke to Fuente fan tonite as well as moki....
I gotta tell you Ryan....I was enlightened by you as well as Brad and Andrew....
Its embarrassing ......but I was wrong....and it kills me to type this...
BUT I WAS WRONG.
Anyway....thanks go out to Fuente Fan and Moki as well as Ryan for just taking the time to speak to me live and being objective.
I am amazed and speechless to say the least regarding the understanding as well as the objectivity of my friends.
I am truly blessed to have these friends.
Thank you
Tom

Tom, if we all had friends like you brother. We are on the same page. Friggen dopplegangers..lol! I personally fell for the whole deal....hook, line and sinker. I told others that all was legit. I am paying for that now as you are aware. You are a hell of a friend and I am grateful to know and actually SPEAK with you. Truly a stand up brother. You need anything from me just holler. To all else...my offer still stands. If you feel I sold you a questionable or fake cigar....you get a complete refund. No questions asked. Expensive day for me I must admit...but so be it. More fakes to be posted soon such as a XX Partagas pyramide.
Pissed off - you bet.
Limp as a fucking noodle on this deal - yep.
My sincere apologies to those that bought the kool-aid from me. God knows it was not intentional..and thankfully I have the funds to refund your cash. Big screen 60" will have to wait. Focking A! -Ryan

Jokingly...I wish there was a benefit to be had in all of this...there is not though.

Ryan I have to hand it to you that not many BOTL would admit to selling fakes or refund the money for them.

Ryan, you showed tremendous integrity to me regarding the authenticity of the cigar I smoked and while hearing you go through this all, I see that you have kept that intact. We all have buttons that can be pushed, that is just being human. The integrity I speak of is how you approach business in this hobby of ours.
You are a good man in my book.

I disagree. You gained the benefit of knowledge, and cigar knowledge is the least of it. You now know that you can say some pretty vile stuff to people and with a heartfelt apology and a change of heart, all can be forgiven. And respect can be gained by people you don't know and probably will never meet. You now know that the cigar community has some pretty good people associated with it who actually do care what happens in it and will go to extraordinary lengths to see that the community is protected and looked after. I would definitely put those things in the benefit column.

Having dealt with Ryan before and actually spoken on the phone with him, I can surely say...Well done here Ryan.
Also, what are you selling to make up for your losses Ryan? I've got $150 I'm ready to spend. ;)

This guys pretty spot on. You've also made friends like moki (ok be a little scared here) ;D and fuente fan. Ryan, yes you got duped, yes you've learned, but you've also had a chance to show your character oncer you did realize the mistake. and that's kinda priceless.
