I guess the answer is to sell or trade on another board, but that is as shady as doing the deed here?

Maybe an e-mail heads up to the gifter? If I give you a cigar, do with it what you want and trade it for what you really want. That is the spirit of a true gift.

This here needs a topic of its own.  Selling a gifted/bombed cigar is VERY poor ettiquette.

So I was online when Danilo got on and was all pissed off about this. First there was not talking with him he would not listen to anyone. He said if someone bombs you a cigar then you can not ever sell any of that kind of cigar again. So my question to him is I have a bunch of HTF stuff if some one bombs me one of those I cant sell any of my stuff again? FFS Seriously  :nana:  He would not listen to anyone including my self that knows what jeff has traded for cause we talk all the time. I know jeff is not selling the cigars he got hit with and even offered to send the stuff back to him.

With all the being said,

"my name is Paul and this shits between y'all I ain't getting involved"

Just my 2 cents worth not that it matters much.

Selling a gift/bomb is very poor etiquette imo.  Regifting something that was bombed to you seems fine to me, unless you were specifically asked to smoke it (e.g., I send a buddy an opus maduro to review and he gives it away).  Selling a duplicate you already had of a cigar someone sends you is fine and totally unrelated.  Selling something from a trade is fine and totally unrelated.

That bolded part is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.  There's no logic to it whatsoever in my opinion. Let's say I had 4 boxes of CoRo's and I needed a little cash so I was going to get rid of a fiver or 2.  Should I not be able to sell them because a buddy of mine once bombed me a CoRo?  With the amount of different sticks gifted to anyone of us over a period of time this logic would wipe out the B/S/T period.  My opinion is selling gifted sticks is wrong and that we have to trust the integrity of the seller that he is not doing so but a guy has the right to do whatever he wants with the sticks he purchased with his money.

This.  I was also there when it all went down and tried explaining the situation to no avail.

Jeff is a great guy and a great BOTL and I would and WILL vouch for him any day of the week.

Jeff is an amazing BOTL. No one should question his motives. I believe if someone is gifted a cigar, he is free to do with it as he pleases. When I gift cigars, I expect the same.
