Hi Marc,
Could you please reply to my texts and refund me also? I bought 13 of them from you.

Probably the same place he got all those other sticks that were offered to Valley.

Curious about the Hoyo DC GR, SCDLH Saudade, Diplo PCC 30th…. A lot of old timers have been buying bundles or back door cigars from factories without boxes. Wonder if this is what happened here…..

I can appreciate everyone saying how amazing MK is for making things right and refunding and a class act. But you can’t convince me ever that someone who has been around as long as he has didn’t know what he had. I’m very certain that he knew he was buying them as back door cigars without a box and risked it. Smoked one or two and decided to sell them.

To be fair, I was the only one saying that...lol..and I was hammered when I posted it...looking at it objectively and sober I agree the optics are bad. I think there needs to be more from Marc on this...the current info does not add up IMO

These Diplomaticos was a split that I kept in part of a small group buy between friends. Frankly, I thought I would share these at a lower than market rate and people would be happy to try. Never did I even care to check the band.
On a personal note, I tried this cigar since development stages (on a day along with what were slated to be a QdO and a Romeo), and then just recently about a month ago after having them in my possession for half a year or so. I found that I just don’t care for the lancero size nor the profile, as it takes ages to mature as a format in general. If you’ve smoked any Papos, you’d know that those cigars still won’t be ready to smoke after you’re dead. Cohiba Lanceros from late 1990s are great now, mid 2000s are still way too grassy, and ones from last decade taste like they’re hollow (my opinion). If you asked me 10 years ago, I would have been shouting from the mountain tops about skinnies only while waving my LGC #3s in the air. Now long cigars are a chore, and Siglo VI feels like a robusto. How times have changed. Much like myself, and this community that I joined back in 2010. Now I'm the "fuggin old guy."
Valley approached me wondering about the band, which I did not even look at. I offered him and contacted the others to offer full refund plus shipping back along with my apologies for any unintended misgivings. If you’re asking for my opinion on the band, I think Cuba uses everything. Laguito will cut or fold up Siglo VI bands on Lanceros, Bolivar uses odd sizes on everything, PLPC sometimes came with the red Picadore bands when gold ones ran out, for example. Sometimes, half a box won’t even have bands and will have to be returned to vendor.
Again, it was not my intent to sell a fake, and I made sure everyone personally affected was notified of my unintended mistake and rectified the situation to their satisfaction. I hope you guys have a pleasant rest of extended holidays and ready for football/school season. Thanks for the read

Good on you Valley for noticing and then double checking around on all the other auctions for verification.
Gotta say whether MK knew or had intent, seems he handled it in a professional way here.

Marc - was the box split from a reputable online vendor? An LCDH? A B&M overseas? Context matters here otherwise its just a case of fake cigars appearing out of thin air...
