Fucking hilarious. 🤣

I know a few pretty heavy hitters who actually do that. Pull all the wax paper and booklets and ribbons and everything out for aging so it MIGHT be true. Not defending anyone, just saying. Personally I leave the boxes as they are.

Paper based inserts and such, I can certainly understand.

Personally, I remove those as well.

But, the ribbons? That’s fucking hilarious. 🤣

To each his own, right? 😉

Anybody saying the ribbon hinders aging, or removing the ribbon improves aging—-feel free to plant a tulip on top of your head….make sure to add fertilizer….

In the early aughts I had more than a couple cigars with ribbon-caused deformation, so I did pull them for a while. Now I just cut them.

Could be worse—-you could be trying to sell a fiver of cigars at $20/stick which includes ones that were punched/cut by somebody else handling—-still like new though lmao

I retract my last statement, you are correct.  I would classify the other as “gross.”
