What's interesting is that, due to the previous BLM protests in Washington, the mayor requested less force.
From WSJ: the mayor "urged federal law enforcement to maintain a light footprint for Wednesday's protests, seeking to avoid the type of show of force that had inflamed tense situation the city last year....The result: the Capital appeared heavily guarded for recent BLM protests than Wednesday's demonstration."

Re: Riots and the media's response
I aint really feeling the whole idea of comparing BLM riots to Trump riots...rationalizing one with the other and vice versa is just confusion for the weak...the problem we have in this country is entitlement...on both sides...no one ever wants to really take responsibility for their own actions. Hoods blame the police when they get got...police blame the system when they fuck up...politicians blame the current administration for everything...and the president blames anyone and everything in sight...its a vicious cycle thats fueled by the complete deterioration of interpersonal relationships since all each of us know now is the illuminated screen in front of us and the handles we argue with incessantly without consequence...until real life steps in and the consequences become all too real...you get the clusterfuck we sit in today.

“Evidence matters,” Catanzara said. “Until that appears, shame on them for what they did, but it was out of frustration. There’s no fights. There’s no, obviously, violence in this crowd. They pushed past security and made their way to the Senate chamber. Did they destroy anything when they were there? No.”
One officer dead and 21 injured? Is that enough evidence for this clown.

I completely agree that he's out to lunch with that statement. I am however waiting to see what the cause of death was for the officer who died. The media has been hawking "four deaths" due to the protest and rioting including the woman who was shot. Turns out one was a stroke, one was a heart attack and one was trampled.
To me that's 2 deaths not 4 due to the actions of the crowd. People died, but it's more exaggeration and misinformation, but hey if they stretch it I'm sure they can be Covid related.

Equating people marching for racial justice with what happened yesterday is utter horse shit.

25 people were killed in your BLM protests and BILLIONS of dollars in damage. If you find one acceptable and the other not then you are the problem.

Re: Riots and the media's response
Loved the dialog in the video above. Now I understand why there is confusion about what crowd was up to.
You have no idea what the fuck you are doing. You work for us and get the fuck out of here. Stand up for America motherfucker. Don’t touch me motherfucker. No. They work for us. (Punch, push, grab etc).
A few hours later a beaten up cop was dead.
And these were 2 cops walking through. No weapons in hand or body armour.
And I am Canadian, so you know. Wtf.

Not justifying anything here in any of these posts, and if you read it that way then you are misunderstanding me, and I'm usually pretty pointedly clear. The WWW has taught me to be down right blunt because people try to imply that you mean something other than what you wrote in order to discredit your position.
I am pointing out the hypocrisy of the coverage of the events of recent months including the events at the capitol by the US media. Any other take away is your own interpretation or projection into the discussion and not mine.
