I remember a time when box passes and bombs were frequent. Now it seems to be a bunch of whining with very little relevant posts about cigars, etc.
[/quote]
There was also a time when one could find some pretty decent deals on cigars here. That's rare now (gougers asking $16/stick for petit robustos, lol.)
As the greed factor has increased, the camaraderie and "cigar community" factors have deterioriated.

Maybe you need to be shown the door? A nice magic carpet ride to the exit on one of your ashtrays sounds good to me. You’ve been nothing but Jr High drama here and you can fit your fan base on a postage stamp.

Back to the topic, certainly COVID but mostly FB IMO. Lack of non discretionary funds from COVID has probably perpetuated some sales. But the FB interface works well....until they shut it down, which they are doing every day.

Damn! I’ve never seen anything more right than this.

Forums in general are dying, on any topic. Looks like people are largely flocking to Facebook, which I don't understand - the format is terrible on FB (imho) and posts are easily lost, especially older ones.

This is generally the case. I once was a super mod on a great auto forum and the powers that be decided to destroy it by moving from vbulletin to Xenforo, took away admin powers leaving the site admins as glorified supermods. Members, too, can kill forums by trolling the shit out of it. Another great cigar forum suffered from one of too many admins falling on his own sword and pissing off most of the base with his public shaming of individual(s) who just wanted to see the carnage from a group bombing in which about 20 members took part in. You're lucky if you see one bomb depart per month when it was an every day thing there.
There are only a few members here that I even trust enough to buy from since I got my feet wet years ago buying from a long time member here who knowingly sold me a box of Punch tent pegs. I now do research and know the low down on some 'aged' cigars from the late 90's having this issue. I was the chump he unloaded these worthless dog turds on. Caveat Emptor. So learning that not everyone is trustworthy is not the forum's fault, but my due diligence was. FB dealt a huge blow for awhile to cigar forums until the chief Nazi and his brown shirts decided to ban cigar/tobacco sales on FB. But when individuals find an alternative to forums, they generally don't return. There is one FB group in particular where group 'admins' mark up their wares considerably and people just love them for it. Certainly if a seller is going to assume a lot of risk selling, then it may be worth it. But nearly every sale listed there has a disclaimer that they are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen goods.
Action here seems steady in spite of COVID plandemic. It is used mostly for people to try to scalp their wares to turn a quick 30%+. Notice I said scalp, not gouge because gouging can only occur if the item is a needed commodity. Cigars obviously do not fall into that category.

The forum here hasn't been anything special for as long as I can remember.
The sales being less active probably has something to do with people being home for COVID and smoking everything they have instead of selling it!

Then why dont you leave motherfucker!!! You have already shit the bed on the FOH forum. Now you want to do the same here?
