Pay with PP Goods and Services?
[/quote]

I've long been paying simply with F&F, primarily after first reviewing the seller's feedback and seeing a positive trader feedback history.  It seems that this is no longer an acceptable method of due diligence.  In the future, I will be looking to pay via goods and services and will gladly eat the 3.5% fees to have some buyer protection.

After this fiasco, sellers who demand payment via F&F only...good luck!!!

There is a problem with this too.

I get it as a seller, only wanting to take PayPal as F&F. If you take G&S then you are opening the door to BE scammed. PayPal has a very long history of siding 100% with the seller, without investigation. All you have to do is dispute it, money back immediately and the seller has no recourse.

I have no issues with dealing in the F&F option only, 90% of the deals i partake in are with someone I know or someone that knows someone I know in some form. The other 10% is gambling. Don't bet more than you're willing to lose

Its really a matter of perspective for a seller or buyer.

If as a seller, you only want to accept F&F, that is your option.  However, there might be potential buyers who will pass because they want a higher level of buyer protection than reviewing trader feedback.

Similarly, if you are a buyer, and you will only pay via Goods and Services, you potentially might miss out on a box or lot you want because the seller has specific payment details that you are not comfortable with.

Either way, buyers and sellers will need to determine what their comfort level is with payment terms....or you can simply go back to the tried and true method of money orders via snail mail.

Sorry, but asking to be paid for goods through PayPal F&F is a violation of their very clear rules. Everyone who uses their services has agreed to follow these rules.

PayPal has a right to be paid for their service.

I think it's past time for this practice to end here.

If seller doesn't want to work with that, that's a clear enough sign that something can be shady.

A lot of FOGs won't accept buyers paying the Goods way.  You haven't been around long enough to know this scam works the other way too.  I won't sell to someone I don't know using the Goods way.  And if a buyer has a problem with that, I'd understand.  We both move on.

Didn't even think about how they can scam the other way as well. Fucking catch 22 isn't it? But like you said, sometimes if a deal just doesn't work out, it just doesn't work out. Sadly being part of this recent scam I'll be looking to protect my own ass from here on out. If that means missing out on a deal or two, so be it. Stay smart out there people.

I think the threads should be unlocked for buyers because it could alleviate buyers from jumping on scams so quickly.  I would guess there's a lot of people who don't even visit anything other than the 2 forums dedicated to buying and selling.

I completely agree the price policing and bickering in the threads was an issue, but if you can't refrain from that, you deserve the suspension/ban as far as I'm concerned.
