I think quality will get worse as demand skyrockets.

Most can get them anyway . I'd rather the government stay out of it.

It will suck to have to pay Gov't taxes on them as well.

If and when they are legal, the taxes wil b the same as on the NCs.
Which means payin more than the usual routes, dosnt it?

Absolutely the price will go up. I even think there are different taxes on tobacco depending on states as well but not sure on that one. I also can't remember who said it on the forum but there is a thought that the quality of cc's will go down as the quantity and demand rise due to the embargo being lifted. My two cents....

don't forget the fakes that will be more plentiful than the real thing.
prices will effectively double.............
quality will certainly decline.......
why screw things up?

I haven't been on this site for about 5 months. I'm leaving Cuba soon with a great selection of Cuban custom rolled cigars, but I can't figure out how to make a post!! Can anyone help?

Prices will Double? I highly doubt that.....No way average cigar smoker is gonna pay a $1000 for a box of esplendidos or $500 for Monte 2's for very long, if at all...

So you don't think people would buy $20 cigars?
Prob right, never see anybody buying padron, opus, or other overpriced nc sticks.

So what do you guys think will happen to the grey market vendors? Will our cigars from them still have the codes scratched off or will they not worry about that anymore?
I don't think they'll ever be for sale on the shelves in the states. Too much trademark BS going on with the names. You have all the Cuban brands and then the NC's that have the same name. I can almost bet they will never be aloud on the same shelves or even in the same stores as long as they have the names they do now.
My guess is we will first get LCDH shops in the US before anything else and they may end up being the only place on American soil to get them in person. Internet is a different story.
It's coming but may be longer than we all thought originally. Stock up now and sit on them, as that quality WILL suffer when the demand rises. I mean Cuba is only so big, so they can only harvest so much tobacco a year.
Either way, I will still probably get them from the same places I have been getting them...OLH.
