I smoked a bunch of fake Cohibas while on vacation in Jamaica a couple of weeks ago.  I knew immediately that they were fake, but on careful examination they appreared to be well made Jamaican cigars.  I actually smoked several well rolled and mild Jamaican churchills w/ Cohiba bands.  At $400-500 JA ($4.50-6.00 us) they were a heck of a deal!!

I checked EVERY vendor I could find, from beach vendors, to small shops, to expensive hotel shops and was unable to find a single legitimate Cohiba.  I did find some real RyJ, Cuaba, and other brands, but no real Monte's or Partagas either.  :boty:

I got to Iraq and met up for a drink and smoke with a couple of coworkers..  I had picked up a 3-pack if Sig VI at the duty free on the way in and one of my coworkers goes, "Oh let me go grab my cohibas"..  They were Cohiba Robustos, except the 25 were packed in a square formation and wrapped in cellophane.. Guy paid $180 for them..  The sad thing is that he thought he saved $120 because a box of CoRos in the legit duty free shop was $300.

I got taken for a box of fake Esplenididos off of craigslist about a year ago.  The very next day is when I started taking this hobby/passion more seriously and wanting to learn more.
