You're an idiot, and you owe me an apology whether you're intelligent to realize it or not.

Hope it works out for you! You have moldy cigars. Deal with. Stop over to CF and say hi.

No I do not. I still stand by these cigars with a money back guarantee that it's not mold. You cannot lightly brush off mold with your finger without any underlying damage to the wrappers.
You don't know what you're talking about.

Sure you can. I've done it plenty of times. Unless it's infected the end of the cigar or has been there a long time, mold is easily wiped away.

my $0.02 and my opinion: that is without a doubt mold. The spotting of it is the dead give away imo. But it doesn't mean with a quick wipe down, that those won't smoke amazingly. And yes, i've wiped off mold many times without any problem, as long as it hasn't grown on the foot.
This has nothing to do with questioning your integrity or reputation, more that I think you're misinformed.

Re: Kalt's Moldy Cuabas
It's worth noting that I could have just brushed it off and never said a word about it. Nobody would have ever known the difference.
I keep my humidity in the high 60's and these were nowhere near the humidification unit. Moreover out of all the boxes in there only 3 cuaba boxes, one box of QdO Panatellas, and one box of Monte #2's has ever had this plume on it.
I've seen people debating plume and mold for years on CF and elsewhere. Sometimes it's in spots, sometimes it's not, but it's always white and brushes off. Wrapper mold does NOT just brush off, it's growing in the wrapper leaf. And mold doesn't grow unless there's high humidity, it's a clear sign of over-humidified cigars. Mine are on the drier side, if anything (how i like them). 99% of my cigars never got plume.

Re: Kalt's Moldy Cuabas
Kalt,
You should step back and research this a bit more. You will be hard pressed to find anyone here that would conclude that is plume on those cigars.
I have wiped white mold off the wrappers of cigars with ease and they smoke great. However if that fuzzy stuff is in the foot of the cigars I would not smoke them.
Your moldy cigars are just that. No debate here regarding these being mold or plume.

That's a scary thought!
I've wiped mold off of cigars before and they smoked great.

Put down the shovel, Kalt. You made a fool of yourself by claiming that is plume, and you are just making it worse with your insistence. It is mold, as everybody has stated. You can not reasonably think that you are correct and EVERYBODY else is wrong...EVERYBODY...including all literature available on the subject as well as every knowledgable cigar smoker that has responded. It is mold...period. And you are seriously damaging your reputation by claiming otherwise. Your traders' comments, satisfaction of previous buyers, the claimed RH of your storage, how long ago you signed up on any cigar forum....all irrelevant when it comes to THAT picture of THOSE cigars. Given your insistence, I doubt this post will have any impact on your opinion, but perhaps if you consider that not a single person has agreed with you....NOT ONE...it might be time to swallow that pride and admit you are wrong. Or maybe not :)
