I'm glad you can appreciate Detroit. Lol
I spent 32 years there, it's as Hard Core as any place on Earth. Detroit has no respect for life. People don't know that people get popped just for looking at them at a red light. lol
I used to tell people, don't cross 8 mile. Now I tell them, don't cross 13 mile, unless you're going to one of the Strip Clubs. Can't wait to come home soon. I miss my people.
Holla!

Definitely Little Beirut in some spots - it was understood that you don't look in other peoples' cars when you're in the hood.
We crossed 8 Mile regularly - excellent parties and a 24 hr marketplace! 5-6 Mile and Ryan was our spot for a while.

Just unbelievable, running from a reckless driving warrant. He's dumber than the cops beating him on camera, thought he's probably going to end up richer when they give him a settlement.

I've watched a lot of videos on YouTube and other sites like copblock over the past year. It's really opened my eyes to the abuse of power police have had over the years. They act entitled to know who you are despite having no cause to believe you've committed a crime a d that you answer their questions. Just respond with "I don't answer questions from the police" and see how quickly the encounter goes from there. You'd be amazed how you're treated for legally carrying a firearm in public or taking pictures/video of certain types of facilities in full public view.
In a state where it's perfectly legal to own and carry an AR15, just carry it on your shoulder and see how long it is before you've got a gun pointed at you and forced to the ground like a felon stop, disarmed, and then forced to produce ID "just to see who you are" all despite being completely legal. I've seen it a 100 times over.

You live in a state where people carry AR15s around on their shoulder on the regs!? I'm guessing Montana or Arizona? Tennessee is one of the more gun happy states and I rarely see someone carrying, and have never seen someone with an assault rifle in public (except for the popo).

Pole Lock, there are some folks who carry in places where it's legal to make the point that you can.
"...Tennessee, the patron state of shootin' stuff."
for the record an AR-15 is not an assault rifle. It is a sporting rifle. They really have an image problem with some people, I think its a black thing. :boty:
An assault rifle is a selective fire rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine.[1] An AR is not selective fire. It is a semi-auto only.

As long as the weapon is not banned by the state, there's virtually no statute that will prevent you from open carrying any firearm. I'm obviously talking a situation where the gun is carried and never pointed in any direction, whether the gun is carried on your shoulder or a handgun worn in plain view of your hip. Some details will vary from state to state, but just exercise your right one day in plain view of the public and I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that calls will flood in to 911 about you having a gun in public and in more cases than not you will be hunted down and detained like they would have just caught you fleeing the scene of a bank robbery.....all while no crime has been committed. Isn't that scary?
