Same owners as cigars international and cigar.com btw.

I actually did not know that... I have never purchased anything from either of those. I know several people that have, and had positive reviews.

Yeah, they've been on thin ice for a while.  When the fake Opus Maduro thing hit, I inquired on their forum about who had bought the double robusto maduro (just curious to see how many had been sold) and I received a not-so-nice email from some slunt named Trish who told me that I would be "permanently banned" if I continued to insinuate that they sold fake Fuentes.  I cancelled my account the next day.

What a crock, its not called insinuating when there is documented evidence.

Yes but watch out they will bend you over on shipping, they will not waive the shipping fee if you offer to pick it up yourself. If you are looking for a cabinet humidor there are much better options like 1stclasshumidor and cheaphumidors.com at the end of the day they all come from the same distributor in FL

Yeah they band me because I wouldn't pay $250 shipping on a $300 humidor. They lost a customer that would've spent some serious money.  Screw em

Their customer service is some of the worst I've encountered, which is the complete opposite of what you get when you actually go to a CI store. I'm sure a few complaints to the BBB from some users would fix it.

No way would pay shipping of $250! Amazon prime is free shipping for what I consider a small yearly fee.
Lots of these sites screwing people over is turning lots of new smokers off to the cigar world.

My experience...

I had some Nubs and a stinky ashtray shipped to me from CBid, badly packed.  A tab was broken from the stinky and a couple nubs had been smashed.  I asked for replacements and they were promptly sent.  While I wasn't happy about the original shipment, they made it right without one bit of hassle.

[/quote]But based on the way they sent your first package and the lack of care in packaging it would you trust them with another order? Also if they ship with little regard for the health of the cigars while in transit... I wonder how much care goes into the storage and handling of these sticks before they are purchased?
