He'll lower the price at least like 5 times before it sells though.

Seller should have offered to reimburse fully the cost of shipping and a bit extra for your time unless your the giving type and tell him not to worry about it. Most likely PP was used, easy to send the cost back.
I did the same thing a couple months or so ago, All anyone was out was a delay in receiving their cigars. Shit happens sometimes but the seller owns the mistake, he needs to make it right.

Or pay for the shipping on USPS.com and email the PDF of the shipping label. He should absolutely pay for the shipping, mistakes happen, people get distracted. Just the other day I had 2 packages to mail out one medium flat rate and one small, I boxed them up late at night after taking my sleeping medicine, I was waiting for confirmation that the fact that USPS changed fifth floor to #5 was OK on the smaller one so I was going to hold off on that one but was going to take the medium to the post office, fortunately I didn't have time to drop it off. After I heard back on the small flat rate I looked everywhere for it with no luck, I thought maybe my girlfriend had accidentally recycled it or something, then when I opened the medium to add some more goodies for the delay I discovered that I had put the small flat rate in it, presumably while carrying it to another room then forgotten about it and sealed it up. It was a stupid mistake but a mistake none the less, I imagine if it had been sent out the recipient wouldn't have minded having it picked up by USPS for me.

Wow! Almost made a purchase from this guy.
Glad I didn't! That's some LAME shit making buyers pay for your fuckup! :o
And if he isn't going to make this right by at least refunding what you paid for fixing his mistake, definitely leave him some appropriate feedback so others can avoid this kind of BS

It seems like the holidays bring out the fuckstick in a lot of people. It's funny, I would never expect to be left on the hook for something like that. The flipside I guess is I generally trade only with people I know and trust.

The accused has several items for sale listed currently. Has this issue been brought up to him yet? I see there is no mention of it in his feedback.
