He comes on like a date rapist and the cigars are mediocre at best.
This affects my cigar spending not at all.

Let's see...
Formed business
Created cult-like following
Sold company around it's peak
Smart business man.
[/quote]
Bingo
Plus all the FDA doom and gloom around can you really blame the guy for wanting to jump in bed with someone who has deeper pockets and armies of lawyers?
This could be a good thing for the brand.
More money means more infrastructure for tobacco processing and storage which could mean cigars that usually only hit the market 2 or 3 times a year could become more regular releases

This has nothing to do with the FDA. Drew Estate owed millions to swisher!!!

So in order to get the money back that Drew Estate owes them they buy the entire company for $140 million and call it a day?

Conjecture or fact? Your hatred of Drew Estates isn't exactly news here but you have the right to hate the hell out of them. I don't care.
It has everything to do with the FDA. It's now a larger company with more lobbying and corporate assets to tap into to fight the libtards that will never stop until your, mine, and everyone's rights to smoke a cigar are taken away. Even that socialist whore, former HHS secretary Kathleen Sebilius, Succubus, or whatever the hell the haint's name is, said in every letter she sent out calling for illegalizing infused cigars that "this is one step closer to a tobacco free America." It's not about or never was about infused cigars. They knew that spineless cigar reps would say "let's give them the infused cigars so they'll think they have a victory and leave premium tobacco alone." That is happening. The CRA is saying no. That ALL cigar rights need to be protected. When they went after 'Big Tobacco' over cigarettes, cigar smokers willingly threw cigarette smokers under the bus thinking they'd never go after premium tobacco. Well, here they are and if Drew Estates along with other companies don't join forces, we will all lose our enjoyment of premium cigars. I hate infused cigars but I will defend anyone's right to smoke them.

Re: Jonathan Drew is a POS sellout
I spoke with a smaller cigar manufacturer. He is quite concerned with the FDA's rulemaking outcome. It will effectively put him out of business stat. I don't know what the deal is with DE, and am happy if they are happy. It would behoove many in any business to pay close attention to any agency's rulemaking process. This is how unelected bureaucrats can push through these agendas with some help from a revolving door of political appointees.
While you are working 5 or more days a week, raising kids, tending to your everyday demands....here is one more way of seeing the charlie foxtrot that is happening in this country and plan according, etc. Bread and circus....all over again..
