Andrew, again I understand how you feel. When you have asked, I explained to you what was happening. I explained here too what mistakes where made. If the robustos extra from the last trip were ready, I would happily send them to you. You are one of the rare situations were a problem was preceded by a problem, then another. Each unrelated. As I told you before, by the time it is done, you will have the exact sticks you want, plus around 20 cigars extra (10 sent + others). You will do alright. Believe it or not, problems frustrate me too and I do work to get them fixed asap. I just can't run down there on a whim at any moment. Nor will cigars always be ready on a whim either. And you have my phone number, so use it. The problem of why you were not contacted before has been fixed, and you will know when future dates are happening. Sometimes these things take time, but it gets done.

If I had papo re's in my personal stash of course I would send them out. I mean, wth :), why would anyone assume I would keep cigars in my humi that another guy ordered. And I can't just go to the store and buy them or ever order them and have them shipped, so I can't settle that till they are ready and I go get them. I still think some guys on here compare these purchases to just ordering from a store with a warehouse, or that these are always readily available in quantity on the island.

Also I disagree with your bad taste comment. It makes no sense to plan a trip to the island for the sole purpose of getting 25 sticks for 1 or 2 people. You are just wasting all of the potential space that can be used on the return flight. This violates every fundamental principle of economic utility.

This is not disrespect. It's quite the opposite. What happens is that I reduce the number of cigars for the new gb buy any cigars outstanding from an unfilled order. For example, I can bring back 200 cigars and Andrew needs 25, then the gb slots are only for 175. If Andrew need 25 and another guy needs 25, then the gb slots are 150. They are front of the line. Less orders are being taken. And I can still buy with economies to scale and not waste space. All this helps ensure I can get the cigars to these guys as quickly as possible.

It's cool to see how this discussion is going so far. Of course I hope this gets settled, for the sake of you both but it's also nice to see you guys working this out without the "Fuck you." "No, no.. Fuck you" back and forth and so on.

I know all about customs. I source them at 500+ a trip myself multiple times a year. I know all about bringing them back etc etc I just don't run group buys, I keep them for my own personal consumption. Anyways, not my issue and I'm sure it'll get sorted out.

3 months and another group buy has come and gone since I started this thread.  I still don't have the bundle I'm owed and haven't heard a peep out of Dallas since he posted to this thread back in October.   Looks like people from his latest group buy are searching for answers here, too.   Same old story.

He's had my money for 8 months, now.  IMO his posting privileges here should be suspended until I'm made right.  Either refund me or send me 25 sticks.  

Thanks for bringing this up to date. I realize things happen, but 8 months is crazy. I bought from Dallas once and it took 3 months. I kinda knew it going in though. I wanted to do it again I just don't have the patience. The cigars are first rate but not worth the stress for me. I hope you get it straightened out.

Agreed. Great smokes but not worth the hassle by a long shot. You think by now he would just outright purchase them himself, knowing he'd have no trouble selling them for his premium.

I guess he doesn't want to risk his own money in case they get lost,  stolen, confiscated...

If you were promised your order within 3 months, and you have waited 8 months so far and are still not whole, you have been more than patient.  I wouldn't have been so patient...

Glad you guys are trying to work this out, but if more waiting is involved, I think a refund is the right thing to do at this point...just be done with it.

I have said to myself on several occasions that I was real glad that I didn't get involved in the customs group buy!
