I usually stick to minutos and other small cigars.

My fav to date was a 1984 Monte #5.  I smoked it in 2006, and while most vintage smokes I've tried have disappointed probably due to storage this one was spot on.  Truly a memorable smoke.

Very difficult to nail one, so here it goes for the year 2009 only (no over yet ;D):

VR Unicos OR ('97) - absolutely unique and different from any VR from 1999 on

Well, for beginning a new hobby you're off to a hell of a fine start! :cool:

my first cuban cigar was a bbf with my uncle from 199?... i'll never forget him sitting there trying to teach me how to be gentle while smoking it and how to detect flavors... i think i was 17 at the time and had never tasted anything so divine... It opened up my eyes to a whole different world of cigars

OpusX Power Ranger about 2 years back.  It was a great cigar but it was more the experience of smoking it on a beautiful night in St Pete's sitting on a dock having some cold ones with some old friends I had not seen in years.

Hands down, the 5-6 year aged Cohiba Esplendido that I smoked on my b-day 2 years ago.

For me It would have to be the 99 HdM Churchill. OUTSTANDING CIGAR!!!
