...vaguely reminds me of this:

Not saying it is the same, it just made me think of it.
I hope you can get it resolved.

Thanks, that's exactly the one I was thinking of. Sans impersonating an established individual.....bummer. Hope you can get it worked out :-[

Re: Boss Hog, Possible Impersonator
Something is definitely up and I have been hacked.
I have never been in contact with Leo regarding his cigars and the email addresses listed are not mine, although very close. One extra number in the email address.
Those of you that have dealt with me in the past or know me, know that this is not something that I would do.
I am quite concerned and upset that my identity has been stolen/hacked. Really scratching my head over here as to who might be responsible.
Sorry top hear about your situation Leo but, you definitely have the wrong guy. Have no family in the USA.
Hopefully Wade can get to the bottom of this... Not sure what to do on my end...

I completely understand. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I reached out to you this afternoon with PM on here.

You and me both my brother, as I had absolutely no idea as to what you were talking about.
Really upset about all of this... Not only about being hacked or impersonated but, also about a fellow brother being had like that.
Need to get to the bottom of this ASAP.

Ouch, that hurts. Seen that "coming down from Canada" routine before. Do you have the DC#, and when did you ship? This afternoon? Maybe you can ask your Post Master to inquire if Canton P.O. delivered it to the person, at least you will know if the name is Elias Serodio, and you can start from there.

There has to be someone who lives close enough to that address to maybe knock the door and ask for whom ever you addressed the package to.
I am so sad to hear this. Most cigar loving folk are great people, regardless of their cyber personality.

I don't know if I can shed any light on this at all.
I will tell you that I've run every IP used by Boss Hogs acct for posts and messages and they are all based north of the border in either Montreal or Ottawa (and one way up on Hudson Bay) so it doesn't appear that there has been any activity here that is not from his immediate vicinity. That's about all I can do from this end.

I am going to try that, as well as possibly some sort of mail fraud action. The package was worth close to 3k.

Re: Boss Hog, Possible Impersonator
really sad that people go that far to scam good people out of their money or cigars. I hope you can track down the package and stop it before its delivered or the thief is hit by a bus on his way to pick it up.
