His response to notify me of arrival was "cigars made it, most folks send bonus sticks".

Seriously? Fuck that guy.

I'm not in the cigar business, I like to smoke and have about 4000 sticks. Have never sold anything on here , even though I've been here 4 yrs. That being said I would consider helping out some of those people with HTF stuff if they would post what they wanna pay for it. After all if you have to bump an ISO 4 times, you must really want it. Maybe i'm wrong, but the few times i have pm'ed newbies looking for HTF sticks they wanna pay retail for something I have had for 5 yrs, and I just don't bother anymore.

Well said, I share the sentiment. I am very reluctant to respond to an ISO because I know I'm going to get lowballed on a very HTF stick.

This I would love to see. It's about being straight forward. If you only have a pack of cremosas to trade or $10, then be up front about it.

I don't like to make a fuss because I love being a buyer mostly. I have been checking this new feature out and answering the occasional post. Never again.
A box of 2010 is not the same as 2014. If you want a special year it is going to cost you. Not personal, just fact.

Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.

True.
Perhaps the poster should set a price they're willing to pay for the item requested.
Otherwise it's just a reverse auction - wait awhile and see what offers you get, take the best one.....

True that! A while ago I tried to help a brother on an ISO that I wasn't wasn't going to make a dime on. I even spent 20 minutes digging through my cabinets first to make sure I had what he was looking for and could help him. Poster got my message but didn't respond for over 3 days, even though he was on the site 3-4 times a day and continued to post. Pissed me off, so I sent him an email to tell him that is at least a common courtesy to respond to emails (when folks are trying to help you) and say "Thanks, not interested."
His response was "Oh, I might still be interested, I'm just waiting to see if I get better offers! I'll let you know." I told him to nevermind, the offer was pulled. Then he emails me a day later and says "I was going to buy those from you, but not if you're going to be a jerk." That was the last ISO I ever decided to help out. Its always one asshole that ruins it for everybody.

Re: ISO..........
Maybe I'm missing it. But why would someone who is in the market for something take the first offer that comes along? If you guys were looking to buy a car, and you have a salesman offer you a car for 30k but some other salesman offers it to you for 26k...are you going to save 4k or spend the extra 4k because maybe the first guy was more helpful? I don't personally see any difference.
