South Carolina prices?? Everything I have gotten is from there or Nevada up until the other day when I scored more Stagg from Pennsylvania! If you want something you gotta pay to get it. Don't compare cigars to booze.

So you are pretty much saying you are buying to resell for a nice profit.  And as far as buying/selling, cigars and booze are the same thing.

I think what he is saying is that you bought bottles of Stagg Sr for around $75/bottle shipped via your post and are now asking $200/bottle in your sales listing.  This means after your shipping costs, you would net a profit of well over $100 for a bottle that you bought within the last few weeks.

That is why I wrote the initial post.  There has been a lot of rare bourbon/whiskeys listed in the past few weeks as they are released into the market, with many listed at very inflated prices and I just wondered if these posts get a "pass" because this is a cigar forum or whether many BOTLs feel the same about liquor gougers as they do about cigar gougers.

Would these actions not be similar to the recent sellers of the UF4s who were lucky enough to live in Chicago and grab some and then come on here and ask exhorbinant pricing?  Both the UF4s and BTAC collections are once a year releases at best, very limited in production, and extremely difficult to obtain for the vast majority of members on this board.

No I have paid 3-400 bucks for a bottle of Pappy 15. For the past 4 years I have not been able to get it at SRP. Pappy 15 is what my father and I have drank since I was 19 at xmas time.

And Cigar shops are NOT owned by the states. Many states control their liquor sales.

Your answer has nothing to do with my post.  We're not talking about Pappy, but the BTAC you have for sale.  In context, cigars and booze are the same: people buying hard to find/special releases and selling them for mucho profit.  And your reply to Hafner's post doesn't make any sense either.  Nice way to skate around the topic.  You a politician ?

I agree with this and Taps I know you did not buy all those bottles of BTAC from master of malts.  You can't have it both ways with gouging when its convenient for you and calling people out on it also.  Booze and cigars are not that much different in that aspect.

Using Master of Malt as a price guideline for booze is like using Casa Fuente as a price guideline for Fuentes!

How did you get 2 bottles of Stagg from PA? They were supposed to limit to one bottle per customer

LOL, good to know for the future. The State worker at their finest! In an email they specifically told me that duplicate orders would be cancelled.

I placed one order then saw on reddit that they based it off of per order and not customer. So I went back and placed another order. I know a few on here did the same.

So you got 2 bottles of Stagg for 78 bucks each shipped.  And you're selling it for how much?

I got 5 bottles of stagg if you weren't illiterate and could read you would be able to understand that. 2 are in PA at my parents house. I traded for 2 bottles of stagg and got 1 from Masters of Malt.

I'm far from illiterate. It's simply impossible for me to follow your byzantine web of prevarications and half-truths. If you were strapped to a lie detector, the poor machine would explode.  :cop:

Nice try with the out-of-context reposting. I was selling TWO bottles of JPS 18 for $250 total.
