Then I have to get involved in being judge and jury. One thing I've learned in close to 15 yrs on internet BBs is that everyone has a story and usually neither is purely factual. I'm not going there. I don't have the time nor the interest and I'm not deputizing anyone and handing out OLH badges either. Nobody made you come here and nobody is making you stay, if it bothers you that much the door is only a mouse click away.

I also think it's good to keep people logging in under the same handle so their history is clear to everyone here.

I hate to see this hobby that has brought me so many new friends and joy devolve into arguments. Things like this and counterfeiters ruin what a great community a cigar family can be.
Remember how you started out, and how exciting and fun this hobby was. Unfortunately, I am seeing more and more, even in people close to me, how this hobby turns into a commodity trading floor, as if cigars are some sort of investment you have planned to unload in the future, instead of an expense - which is originally what it was, and should be. And it grows like some sickness until that person is unrecognizable as a fellow smoker. You literally can't stand their presence, and it's a shame that I have run into people like this both online and in person.

Re: Traders comments are for people with whom you have actually traded
Every week I have 5-6 newbie yutz's want this and that. "I will send you a check on monday". A week or two later I follow up "Hey haven't heard from you in a while, still have your Culebras and Salomones....." and nothing but silence. I may get a response: transmission broke, bought some LE's elsewhere, forgot....Very annoying, I just move on. John

Appearance is everything; a few hundred positive reviews and you're golden. I've bought a few times here over the years and have even been asked to leave TC, yet the person never left me a TC.
Go figure ???
