I've got some that have just hit their year. They smoke and taste pretty damn good.

Re: Johnny O custom Rolls
Last night I smoked a CE I got from John in April of this year (2012) and it smoked great. Hopefully I can save some of the bundle til it gets past the year mark. I have also smoked a Canonazo that had a couple years on it and it was fan-friggin-tastic. John is a fantastic BOTL and I really enjoy his cigars so much that I have a dedicated 120 count just for my Johnny-O! stock.

I have had both and cannot tell a difference in flavors. There are differences in flavor profiles between the colorado and dark wrappers. Hope that helps.

No doubt
Didn't mean to make other sound like I was having a go at him.
Just wanted to know the best way to approach his cigars as I've heard good things and I plan to buy A LOT of them.
The theory that they are Cubans are interesting though.

Unfortunately, I lost all mine to mold... I left them in a buddies humidor when I moved to another city, along with a few other boxes until I got settled. Got the bad news recently, was looking forward to trying them at the year mark. I really enjoyed the light wrapper stuff and will order more in time. John's service rocks as well.
