66/66 seems about perfect for cubans, but I try to keep my Dominicans and Nicaraguans at 69 or 70%...

I had never heard about different cigars kept at differing temps & humidities.  Is that all just personal preference or does part of it have to do with your location?

For me its personal preference based on what I have seen while smoking my own cigars.  The Nics, Dominicans, and Hondurans, smoke better at 69-70%--they burn slower, and less hot.  But Cubans almost seem wet at 70% and tend to go out more often when stored at anything above 66%.  I have talked to other guys who have had similar experiences as well.

Well said. 

I will add that for the first 4 or 5 years cubans can have a tight draw @ 70% RH.  After 5 years I have found that keeping them at 70% RH is OK and >10 years they are definitely better at 70%.
