Seems like the thread starter is being very ambiguous...I'm interested in getting a clear stated opinion myself. That will tell us who knows cigars and who thinks they do  ;)

I can tell you I don't think that is plume!  They look like poorly kept cigars, humidified with tap water.

I will repeat my last statement.  If these cigars are covered in plume someone would be jumping all over them.  That is why they have sat for 3 weeks and dropped $105 in price.  There must be a lot of other people with some doubts out there.

Incorrect on all fronts Brad. Its clearly not mold, anyone that has been around cigars for any length of time and understands the subject can see that it isn't. Why are they sitting? Who knows, could it be this thread? Maybe. Could it be that nobody is interested in these cigars right now? Maybe. Could it be the price? Maybe...There are a number of highend things floating around right now that aren't moving, not everyone can justify dropping that kinda coin...I am quite fine keeping them right where they are, they are a wonderful smoke, you should try one sometime. The original pics were taken with an IPhone, would you like some with a higher end camera? I can snap some up with my D5100 if you'd like...

Or maybe they are sitting because this site has been a cesspool of high-end fakes.  I'm not saying these are fake at all, just that I personally look away if I don't know the seller on high-end cigars and I know there are many other people that think the same way.  But then again there are plenty of people that don't care and will buy anything, so who knows.

I still did not say mold.  I said they look like they were kept in not great condition.  They look like the mineral deposits you get from using tap water.  Just my opinion.

Brad, the original question asks plume or mold and you state what you think it is....cigars humidified with tap water wasn't an option until Todd brought it in to the equation...anyways, pictures are pictures, opinions are opinions...here are some pics from a higher end camera

I think this is the main reason. Add in the price for high end cigars. Add in the time of year (a lot of people just spent a lot of money on vacations, family christmas, presents for their loved ones, NYE parties, etc)

Mold is fuzzy, and patchy.

The seller has said he doesnt use tap water in his humi, i see no reason to not believe him. Im sure many of us have enough invested in our stash that were big spenders on distilled water. Hell ive got 5 gallons of it in my trunk.... and my wife better bring it in tonight! Wouldnt a closed box keep mineral deposits on the box and not the cigars?

I still vote plume.
