elderboy = moldy cigars?

Just looking at the pictures of La Riqueza Petit Robusto Cabinet Selection which he has aged since 2010 at 65% which look pretty moldy to me.

Weird lighting or something...  They do appear to have some strange splotchiness on a few of the end ones.  I highly doubt someone would ever take a picture of mold and try to sell it to a bunch of cigar lovers, that shit only happens in cigar shops but of course then it's plume :bigup:

Very interesting topic for learning. Of course it could be plume, but after just one year? And OP, are you sure you need to take this to BZ? Sure, only on the internet where you won't get one in the face for starting a fight. :popcorn:
Great coffee, cigars and whiskey. Love them all.

I don't see any mold.  I think it's just the lighting.

Yeah, there is definitely not any mold on the cigars.  It must be the lighting.  I took them out of the box last night and took a picture.  I saw absolutely no mold.

It bothers me a little that this thread ends up in the Battle Zone.

The thread title seemingly equates Dan with moldy cigars.  Yes, I see the question mark, but to the casual reader, it infers a problem with his cigars in general.

Could this not have been handled via PM, and THEN if there were an issue be brought here?  As it stands currently, there's nothing to "Battle" over except now Elderboy has a thread title equating his name with moldy cigars.

I don't really see the problem with the thread at all really.  It's actually a great educational piece for many.  The lighting does suck in that pic and there are some splotches on the cigars.  Dan has nothing to hide especially when you look at the way he arranged the cigars.  This is not a bad mark on his record at all.  Where else do you post anything on this board?  This place gets the most attention and will get the most replies.  Just because it's in the BZ doesn't mean it's going to be a fight rather than just a discussion.

Completely agree... its the lighting.  Some cigar retailers might try to say its plume or bloom, but that's unlikely with the young age of these sticks.
