Re: BellHopCigars - Review
I have had nothing but good experiences with Belhop. Have ordered a number of boxes of the B2s, Super Ramon's, the VR Canadian Re's and other Canadian RE's. Shipping has been quick and product has been perfect. Mayby I got lucky I never had to return stuff. Thanks for the info.

Does someone have something to substantiate the allegations that this vendor sells fakes? Certainly plenty of information about poor customer service and poor product, but I don't see anything about counterfeits...

It looks like Anthony claimed that individuals had returned counterfeit boxes back to him from a group buy. I didn't read in the thread where anyone actually accused Anthony of sending them counterfeit cigars.

no where in this thread did anyone say or even insinuate that bellhop was selling fakes. people were buying legit boxes, then returning fakes back to bellhop and getting refunds

Thanks bro. I didn't know he had problems with counterfeits until very recently. I didn't buy any of the above cigars from him. I remember he was selling the MGR much cheaper than most respected sources; $550, IIRC. It was tempting, but I stayed away.

Yes, this is true....a bunch of people bought "test" cigars to see if they were the "real deal." When most people determined they were real after smoking the cigars, it was like a flood of wolves went after the MGRs until he ultimately corrected the price. I had spoke to Anthony once over the phone while ordering some regionals and he claimed the pricing was a "mistake." I don't know whether the low price was attributed to him being new and unaware of what he had at that time several years ago.....but a LOT of people went after those MGRs after buying the test boxes......

It's one thing to be stupid, it's dangerous for a stupid person to think he's smart

I recently purchased some regionals from them, and the cigars seemed fine to me, no damage, arrived quick and inconspicuous. No problems at all. I have a couple more on order, so hopefully have a similar experience. We'll see I guess.

Re: BellHopCigars - Review
Perhaps someone should ask Anthony where the group buy originated from and see if more details can come to light.
Like others, I've bought a lot from Anthony over the past two years and I've never had any real serious issues. Including several boxes of MGR's during his crazy low price and after he raised them when realizing he was too low. Once or twice I placed an order, stock was out, he called to tell me and offered to make it right which he did not have to do. I've organized several buys from Anthony and all went fairly smooth. Sure communication is not his strongest, but when I place orders I don't intend to have the cigars tomorrow and if it takes a few weeks no problem.
Obviously it seems Anthony is not the real issue here. Anthony doesn't sell fake cigars. It's the guys that returned fake cigars in legit boxes.
